Avowed dev responds to concerns from Xbox Games Showcase trailer

Just cancel and make Alpha Protocol 2 instead.

I understand the need to show the games that Xbox has in the works for the showcase but it seems a bit weird to bother showing gameplay from a game in pre-alpha

It weirdly already looked abit dated to me. Reminds me of Oblivion but hopefully it’ll be tweaked!

Is that the trailer people are complaining about? Game looks great imo.

Even though I was disappointed by the trailer, Obsidian is the only XGS I trust 100% They have nothing to prove after Grounded and Pentiment.

Where can one find those released screenshots? The only screenshots I could find are 6 images on some German website called PressAKey

No matter what a game's graphics look like, there will be always be a vocal minority who isn't happy.

I'd be more worried if this wasn't Obsidian.

The roughest game they've made is New Vegas, which is a great game and was made in like 18 months.

Avowed is the fantasy version of Outer Worlds. And Outer Worlds, as far as I'm concerned, looked and played great. And Avowed will have been in development for around 5 years.

And on the off chance it doesn't live up to that standard, I still won't be put off, because I don't buy at launch, so I'll have plenty of chance to actually see what it is I@m buying before I buy. Problem solved.

I wasn't impressed with the trailer. It looked too generic fantasy rpg. To be clear, I've played Obsidian games and consider myself a fan. This game is definitely for me. I just hope they figure out the marketing before it comes out.
