Bugs

This was the first Flight Simulator game I played and it was pretty fun until I met several bugs:

Keymappings that do not nothing and require manual inputs: Help: cannot get Erickson AirCrane certification

Achievements that don't unlock: Jack of all Trades problem

Sometimes the communication stay stuck and I had to ignore them.

This is not due to the game being new, it happened even if the game has been released about 2 months ago.

The game itself

The career is a new element for the FS series, it is a nice way to learn how to fly and unlock new planes through progression. But it quickly become repetitive: we have to repeat the same missions again and again to earn small amounts of money, since the game will take 90% of the reward. So we have to grind a few hours before being able to buy a company and a plane, then we can earn money efficiently.

The "simulator" in the game's name is very literal: if you crash the only plane you own, you may be stuck lacking money to repair it, and the easiest way to avoid this is to restart the career. That's not fun. And we hear the same briefing again and again, explaining that the cargo has to be taken care of. After 10 missions, for sure we know it.

One achievement is the photo mode is very frustrating: we have to find animals in Africa, the game will indicate some areas where we can find animals, then we have to fly and hope that animals will actually be present. But if you can't find animals, the game won't help you, there is nothing like a radar or proximity indicator. So the last resort is to use the developer mode and search animals from the in-game console. Once again, this is realistic but neither fun nor entertaining.

Final note

Because of all of this issues, I wouldn't recommend to start this game until it receives some updates to fix them.

I rate it at 2.5 since it's impossible to give a definitive rating as long as it looks like the game is not finished yet.
